Gallagher Marine Systems (GMS) maintains capabilities to respond to both inland and coastal regions throughout the United States and its territories. The GMS Incident (Spill) Management Team (IMT) possesses the depth and experience to successfully manage and support an event such as a large train derailment that involves air releases, spills of liquids, evacuations and remediation.
The GMS IMT is composed of core personnel located strategically throughout each coast of the U.S. Our satellite offices span throughout Springfield, VA; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Houston, TX; Long Beach, CA; and also British Columbia, Canada. In addition to our core group and key support locations, GMS boasts a network of approximately 200 vetted, ICS certified, oil and hazardous material experienced personnel throughout the U.S. and its territories. These responders are well practiced and have a vast knowledge of standing up and running an Incident Command Post, as well as managing field operations. In short, GMS maintains a fully staffed IMT that is qualified, trained, and ready to respond anywhere, upon notification to our 24-hour emergency number.
- In the event of an incident, GMS can be mobilized to establish a fully equipped and functioning Incident Command Center between 12 and 24 hours of activation. GMS personnel will quickly evaluate the emergency situation, develop a response plan, site-specific health and safety plan, and will organize and manage a streamlined response.
- The versatile structure of the GMS IMT allows for our team members to fill each role the Unified Command (U.C.), and our responders are trained to liaise with all federal, state, and local authorities. The GMS response team also fills all supervisory roles in field operations, follows compliance standards according to (U.C.) guidelines and documentation procedures, and manages and controls response costs, all while giving priority to the health and safety of all responders.
- GMS has coordinated long term responses for pipelines, vessel and other casualties. Activation of the GMS IMT, enables companies to responsibly remediate an incident without stopping their normal business activities.
GMS also welcomes the opportunity to support your training, drill and other incident response needs. For more information on our training programs, please visit our Drills and Training, and ICS Training sections.
