Readiness and preparedness are the crucial elements of effectively responding to any incident. The Gallagher Marine Systems (GMS) Spill Management Team (SMT) has the ability to arrive on scene of an incident fully prepared, regardless of location1. Using our Mobile Command Center, the GMS SMT can provide the essential infrastructure for quickly establishing a fully functional Incident Command Post (ICP), suitable for the early stages of managing an incident. This is critical as some locations are not properly outfitted to support the technical, administrative and other needs necessary to stand up a functional ICP.
The specific tailoring of our Mobile Command Center package delivers the crucial communications groundwork for facilitating the Incident Command System (ICS) during the critical, initial hours of the response. This includes full software support for producing an Incident Action Plan, even in remote areas where access to a fully established ICP may not be available.
The strategic positioning of our Spill Management Team on the U.S. East, West, and Gulf coasts allows for rapid deployment of our Mobile Command Center package to any location where a casualty might occur.
